It is unfortunate this is the case as I saw great potential for your product, as I especially like the Shared Folders implementation, but I guess I will continue with VMware if VirtualBox's official position is your position.Ĭan you tell me whether you are a forum member or someone who represents VirtualBox's position? I believe this is not the correct position to take on supporting me with my problem. VirtualBox is no more responsible for someone using an application in an illegal manner than Microsoft. Is there a CD/DVD device problem with VirtualBox? How about the freeware app Imgburn that does not decrypt anything and also does not work? Actually the only time my DVD drive worked properly was installing Windows XP. If you are saying that VirtualBox's implementation has problems that cannot even be talked about due to the nature of the programs I am talking about, I too am dissapointed. If you are saying VirtualBox prevents me from doing so, I am very disappointed.

I copy the disk and put the original away in case it get's damaged. I do not want to go and buy another copy of my child/niece/nephew's favourite DVD everytime they damage the disk. Where I come from making a backup copy of your store bought DVD is both legal and sensible.

I am not asking you to do anything illegal nor am I doing anything illegal. Could you please ask such Questions elsewhere?
